Window companies surge to over 14,000

    February 18th, 2010

Insight Data has seen an increase in the number of active window, door and conservatory companies in the UK, rising to 14,123 businesses.

“Recession has taken its toll on many fabricators and installers who have been forced to lay off staff” explains Research Manager David Lewis; “but, with no jobs to go to, many of these people – often senior company directors – have set up their own businesses and some of these are significant in size.”

“We have extensively reviewed the market in the last six months, both to develop the current UK database and launch new databases, and have identified hundreds of window and conservatory companies who have emerged and are quietly taking market share, and who do not appear on any other database.”

New digital brochure brings documents to life

    February 18th, 2010

Insight has launched a new e-brochure service, bringing to life tired old brochures, technical manuals and websites.  The e-brochure is an animated online version of your existing marketing material, and is easily converted using Insight’s digital brochure technology.

Open the brochure, flick between pages, zoom in or out, and convert to a downloadable PDF page for maximum flexibility.  Complete with sound effects, this really is the way to promote your products and services.

Your e-brochure can be added as a link from your website or email, and even converted to run on a CD or desktop computer, all of which add creativity and interaction to your marketing campaigns.

To see an example of a digital brochure, we produced the first “test” version for Purplex Marketing, see it here: http://ebooks.idmailer.co.uk/?vcabid=ghaSeellnSgjalr

137% growth in direct mail sparks investment

    February 18th, 2010

Despite the explosion of e-marketing, direct mail has grown 137% in the last 10 years. Why? Because it works. In fact implemented correctly, direct mail can generate ten times more response than other marketing.

Insight Data has now invested in a second mail-room production line and can provide a completely outsourced direct mail service with personalised letters and mailers. The new facility increases capacity to 100,000 mailings per month.

“Most companies use mailshots to generate leads, but many don’t have the time or resources to do it on a regular basis” explains Insight Data’s direct mail manager Julia Knight; “Insight can handle both small and larger mailings and will design a professional-looking flyer, personalise a sales letter, and provide a complete mailing service for regular or one-off campaigns.”

    £Billion commercial market opens up

    February 18th, 2010

Insight has launched a new database to help forward-thinking companies take advantage of the commercial market.

The database contains details of more than 15,000 architects and specifiers in the building industry. Insight’s data manager, David Lewis, said “targeting architects earlier in the specification process can give your company a real advantage over competitors. You can now instantly pinpoint architects specialising in key sectors such as housing, education, health, retail, leisure or commercial and if necessary, drill down further into sub-sectors such as social housing or schools. So instead of sitting back and waiting for projects to come out of planning – along with all your competitors – you can now get your products in front of them at the design stage.”

The database uses Insight Data’s award winning Salestracker system, which clients access via Insight’s website. There is no software to install and users simply log on and select the architects or specifiers they want to target by sector, sub-sector or region. The system also has a built-in Contact Manager so users can track marketing campaigns, record notes and follow up leads effectively.
